Massage Therapy
This is quite beneficial to both give and receive when muscles are tight, and there is stiffness and soreness, especially when your back or neck is “out.” This is likely with unaccustomed exercise.
I trained recently in therapeutic massage thru the AIAS, a school of natural and tactile therapies in Brisbane since the 1980’s.
I have given this massage to 6 different massage therapists. They found it good, and this gives me confidence in the AIAS approach.
My sister’s Anatomy book has excellent illustrations by Dank of the musculature, and I can use this to show you how the load is transferred from hand to foot during work, and thus how certain muscles get over stressed and how the back gets pulled “out”.
The massage system is easy to learn, for those with interest and sensitivity to massage therapy.
I also have studied the Trigger Point Therapy text, by Davies. This shows how locating and working small painful points, much of the tension can be released. I have the Theracane, a self massage tool for Trigger Point Therapy.
